The New National Education Policy (NEP) – 2020 plays a vital role in achieving the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Swarna Andhra’ by creating employment opportunities and helping to eradicate poverty, Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) National Secretary Guntha Lakshman said.
Addressed as keynote speaker at State Faculty Training (Prant Abhyas Varg) organized by ABRSM Andhra Pradesh at KL University, Vijayawada. Mr. Lakshman said that within five years of its implementation, the NEP has already started yielding positive results and will yield even stronger results in the coming years.
He emphasized that India’s education system should evolve in accordance with the country’s culture, values, ethics and humanism while integrating ancient Indian knowledge systems to help India become a global knowledge leader. He noted that ABRSM conducts regular workshops to familiarize teachers with the NEP reforms, adding that the organization represents nearly 15 million teachers across the country.
The two-day workshop featured talks by former CBI Joint Director VV Lakshmi Narayan, APSCHE Chairman K. Madhu Murthy, KL University Vice-Chancellor Rajashekhar Rao, Ramakrishna Mission Seetakantha and senior RSS leaders.
During the programme, faculty members submitted a memorandum to resolve issues including recruitment, promotion, payment of salaries and infrastructure. Prof. Madhu Murthy assured that the concerns would be taken up with the government.
