Neeru Dhanda, Kynan Chenai win mixed team trap gold at Asian Games

Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai (Image credit: X) NEW DELHI: Neeru Dhanda added another medal to her impressive Asian Games campaign when she teamed up with Kynan Chenai to win the trap mixed gold medal at the Aichi prefectural General Shooting Gallery in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan on Wednesday.The Indian pair finished with 34 points and won the gold medal.Qatar won silver with 32 points, while the People’s Republic of China won bronze with 23 points.For Neera, it was her third medal at the 2026 Asian Games.She had earlier won a silver medal in the women’s trap team competition before creating history by becoming the first Indian shooter to win an individual gold medal in trap shooting.Neeru’s third medal came alongside Chenaia, with the Indian pair performing strongly in all four series. India scored 6 points in the first series, 16 in the second, 26 after the third to finish on 34 points.With the gold in the mixed event, Neeru now has individual and team gold and silver in addition to the mixed team gold.
