Neeraj Chopra to miss Asian Games and Diamond League with ankle sprain

Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra has been ruled out of the upcoming Asian Games and the rest of the season after tearing a ligament in his ankle during a training session in Switzerland. Chopra confirmed the injury, saying he tore his neck shortly after hitting his best throw of the season in Lausanne. Following doctors’ advice, he decided to sit out the rest of the season and focus on his recovery. The injury serves as a major setback to India’s medal prospects at the Asian Games, where Chopra was a strong contender. He will also miss the Diamond League, for which he qualified.
