Neera Chopra previously competed at the Invitation Tournament in Potchefstroom early this year and threw 84.52 m for the penetration of gold. Meeting from Doha, however, will serve as his first main test of the 2025 season. The Indian star began to cooperate with the legendary Czech coach Jan Enezn, holding the world record in the men’s spear, which in its training regime described a new phase.
Neera, who spoke on the eve of Diamond League in Dohá, revealed that he was without injury to the new season for the first time in a few years. He was also thinking about adapting to Elezn’s methods after previously shared a strong work relationship with former coach Klaus Bartonietz.
“I trained with Klaus differently – one day we would throw and raise others.
“At the beginning it was difficult, but after a few weeks I really started to enjoy it. Everything happened after a few excellent sessions. We made some small modifications of my technique, and although I had problems with a weakness in the past, this time I missed a single session.
Neeraj will now move his focus on violations of an elusive 90m brand in its preparations for the World Championship in September.
Meanwhile, there will also be attention to Kishhore Jena, who will return to the international competition after six months after the ankle operation. Jena won Silver at the Asian Games 2023 with a personal best throw 87.54 m, but since then she has tried to re -create her highest form.
