Inauguration classic Neera ChopraJavelin’s one -day event approved by World Athletics was originally planned in Panchkule in Haryana. However, Neera said they decided to move the event to the Bengaluru Sree Kanteerava stadium to meet the necessary lighting requirements set by the global athletic body.

“The idea of a classic Neera Chopra is inspired by several athletes and my discussion with coach Jan Zelene. He suggested naming the event behind me, because Mondo duplantis has a named event and there are other similar events.
Neera Chopra, who responded to the question of India today, confirmed that the classic Neera Chopra will become an annual event from next year and will include several other field events. He explained that female spear could not compete in the inauguration edition of the classic because of the Diamond League competition, which is held shortly before.
Classic Neera Chopra, a one -day Javelin event, was awarded the status of the category “A” according to the World Athletics, thus dealing with the level of the gold tour Continental Tour for points.
