NCC launches rifle shooting simulator at AITAM

A .22 rifle firing simulator was inaugurated at Aditya Institute of Technology and Management (AITAM) near Tekkali on Friday by Group Commander, NCC Visakhapatnam Group, Commodore Sumanth Roy.

Later, while interacting with the NCC cadets at the district level, Commodore Roy said that the NCC inculcated discipline, leadership and the spirit of national service in the youth, besides offering opportunities for employment, higher education and career advancement. He explained the quotas and weightages extended to ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate holders in the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, State Police Departments and various government recruitments and answered the queries of the cadets regarding defense careers, selection procedures and training.

While inspecting the simulator, he said it will help the cadets to improve their shooting techniques and marksmanship skills.

AITAM Director VV Nageswara Rao, Director AS Srinivasa Rao, Commanding Officer of 14th Andhra Battalion Lt. Col. Shashank Kushwaha and NCC Coordinator D. Vishnu Murthy were present.
