Chaitra Navratri 2025: The favorable nine -day festival is celebrated in India, which means victory over evil and is devoted to worship of the goddess Durgy. It is also known as Vasanta Navratri, where people perform prayers and rituals to accept blessings. This time it started on 30 March. But many of them are confused when RAM is celebrated.
Ninth day or RAM Navami is celebrated on April 6, Sunday. The festival presents the beginning of the Hindu New Year and culminates with RAM Navami, the anniversary of the birth of Lord Rama, the last day.

Ashtami Tithi of Shukl Paksha for Chaitra Navratri begins 4. April at 20:12 and ends on April 5 at 19:26. According to Panchang, Ashtami is 5th April Saturday.

In northern India, Chaitra navratri is observed in states like Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Pandjab, with temples performing special prayers. It compares it to Gudi Padwa, the new year of Marathi, in the Mahari. It coincides with Ugadi, the new year of Teluga and Kannada in South India. In West Bengal, the beginning of preparations for Durga Puja is at the end of this year.

Sharad Navratri is celebrated in the autumn. This year, October will begin from 22 September and will end October 1. The festival ends with Vijayadashami, widely known as Dussehra, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.
