
The Directorate of Cashew and Cocoa Development under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, in collaboration with Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), will organize the National Cashew Conference 2026 on February 25 and 26 at the Central Auditorium, KAU, Thrissur.
The conference on “Strengthening the Cashew Sector: Integrating Technology, Productivity and Value Addition for Global Competitiveness” aims to deliberate on strategic interventions to strengthen the cashew sector in India and increase its global competitiveness.
The conference will be inaugurated by Prabhat Kumar, Commissioner of Horticulture, while B. Ashok, Vice-Chancellor of Kerala Agricultural University will deliver the presidential address.
Experts, entrepreneurs, scientists and policy makers from across the country are expected to attend these talks.
The conference is intended to be a national platform bringing together policy makers, researchers, processors, entrepreneurs, farmer producer organizations and cooperatives to discuss technological innovations, strategies to increase production, market linkages and policy frameworks. It also seeks to reaffirm the government’s commitment to strengthening the horticulture sector through research, extension and industry collaboration, according to a KAU press release.
