NARL is organizing a clean-up effort on campus

The National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL-Gadanki), working under the Ministry of Space, aims to achieve sustainability through fortnightly cleanliness drive, the report said.

The ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ which started on February 1, 2026 will be held till February 15. The focus is on achieving sustainability, transforming spaces and encouraging a competitive spirit towards cleanliness.

NARL Director Dr. Amit Kumar Patra said the ‘anti-plastic’ campaign was promoted through banners, employees took pledges, water tanks were cleaned in Gadanki and Tirupati and sustainable items were distributed to school children.

A ‘Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 Implementation Cell’ has also been set up to carry out these activities.
