The co -founder of Infosys NR NRyana Murty joined the Memorandum of Understanding (MY) with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (Iima) to create an inflation program (PGP), which will cover the annual fee of the recipient, expenditure on the host, material and clutter fees) Institute).
The scholarship called “Professor Jaswant G. Krishnayya Merit scholarship” will be granted an eligible student who will reach the highest CGPA in the first year. Mr. Murty committed himself to finance the scholarship for 20 years. The summary payout for a 20 -year scholarship is estimated at 12 GBP Crore.
“This scholarship also serves as a testimony of Professor Krishnayya in shaping my early life and career. I hope this scholarship inspires students to try to perfection and have a positive impact on the world,” Murty said.
Long -term bond
The chairman of the Governor Council Iima and Chairman Zydus Lifescience Pankaj Patel noted that Mr. Murty’s bond with Iima began in 1969 as the main programmer of the systems, which was further deepened as he served as chairman of the Institute from 2002 to 2007.
Bharat Bhasker, Director, Iima, noted that the scholarship was a celebration of excellence, mentoring and impact, and reflected the vision of the institute to allow access to merit in managerial education while paying tribute to those who helped build it today.
