
Thiruvananthapuram Another District and Meeting Court VI found on Monday that Cadell Jeansen Raja, accused of Nanthancode for more murders, guilty for the murder of his parents, sisters and aunts.
Judge Vishnu K. found Cadella guilty for four numbers of murder according to Section 302 of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC). He was also found guilty of section 436 (mischief by fire or explosive substance with the intention of destroying the house) and Section 201 (causing the disappearance of the offense) IPC.
On Tuesday, the court will listen to the arguments concerning a quantum of punishment. Criminal prosecution is likely to seek the death penalty and cite the case qualified as “the most precious rare”.
Crime developed 5th and 6th April 2017 in house no. 117 in Bains Compound, Nanthancode, near Cliff House. Cadell, 37 years old, murdered his father Raja, 60, retirement professor; his mother, Jean Padma, 56 years old, retired doctor; his sister, Caroline, 26; and his aunt, Lalitha, 70 .. The incident came to light on April 9, when their crippled and partially burned bodies were discovered in a two -storey residence.
After the murders committed with a carpenter purchased online, Cadell tried to destroy the evidence by failing before he escaped. On April 10, he was arrested at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station on arrival from Chennai.
During the interrogation of the Cadell court, he claimed that he was in Chennai at the time of the murders and denied any knowledge of deaths. However, forensic evidence submitted by criminal prosecution was contrary to its claims. Forensic report revealed the presence of blood victims and traces of gasoline on his clothes.
In addition, the post-Mort exploration showed that the victims suffered fatal injuries, especially on the back of the head, caused by an ax by a carpenter obtained from the crime scene. The investigation confirmed that the murder weapon was purchased through the CADELLA account on the electronic trading platform. The hard disk of his laptop contained evidence that he repeatedly watched the web series showing the murder of the ax committed from behind.
The criminal prosecution has submitted convincing evidence indicating prememeritation. This included the purchase of a disinfectant floor cleaner and MOP 4 April, the day before the murders, suggesting an attempt to clean the crime scene. Cadell also bought black polyethylene covers from the Nanthancecode store and gasoline in two cans of a petrol pump near the TTC intersection.
41 witnesses, 104 documents and 57 material subjects presented criminal prosecution.
