There is a new twist in the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. The mysterious new report appears to come from someone who claims to have insider knowledge about the alleged kidnapper.
According to TMZ, the outlet received the message shortly before 5 a.m. PT. Unlike the original ransom note – which was believed to come from the alleged kidnappers – this latest report appears to come from someone who claims to have knowledge of the case.
The report states that the sender made repeated attempts to contact Savannah Guthrie’s brother Camron and her sister Annie via email and text, but received no response.
The note reportedly reads: “If they want the name of the person involved, I want 1 bitcoin in the following wallet. Time is more than important.”
According to the news source, the message contains what appears to be a valid Bitcoin wallet address. The outlet says the address is different from the one listed in the original ransom demand that was sent to TMZ and two Tucson TV stations.
TMZ says the FBI has it.
The sender’s credibility remains unknown. The authorities have not yet publicly addressed the latest development.
