The Indian Indian Confederation (CII), Mysuru Chapters, in cooperation with Mysuro City Corporation and Young Indians, will be led by the 14th Environment Cleaning Unit on 14 June to mark World Environment Day.
Under the topic “Namma Mysur, Swachha Mysur”, the initiative is aimed at supporting sustainability, restoring ecosystems and emphasizing the urgent question of plastic pollution throughout India.
Cleaning will be carried out from 7:00 to 9:00 along the Outer Ring Road, followed by a link of awareness in Maharaja’s College Grounds from 10:00 to 10:30.
“India produces more than 3 million tons of plastic waste per year, largely not administered and polluting public spaces. Despite reputation of Mysur for cleanliness, rapid urbanization continues to strain waste systems.
The reduction will be dealt with by reducing plastics for disposal, encouragement of recycling and advocating policies supporting the circular economy.
SDG, which was in accordance with Indian climatic objectives under the Paris Agreement and SDG, emphasizes the need for a local ecological balance in the middle of health impact, agriculture and weather. Mysuru, with its ecological heritage, plays a crucial role in the local climate, he added.
The change in the environment begins with collective efforts. This World Environment Day CII Mysur urges Mysurejca to join not only to clean, but to restore the city and to protect its future, the edition said.
CII MEPUR has invited institutions, industrial bodies, NGOs and citizens to participate and commit to sustainable procedures. Volunteers will be provided with safety instructions and tools for cleaning. All waste will be properly segregated and recycled, the organizers said.
