Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced suspension of Namma Metro services on the Purple Line section for two hours on May 31 to facilitate basic maintenance work between Attiguppe and Vijayanagar stations.
According to a press release issued by BMRCL on Friday, metro train services between Deepanjali Nagar and Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) metro stations will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 9:00 am on Sunday.
Despite the interruption of service on this section, metro service on other sections of the network will continue to operate according to the normal timetable. Trains will run between Challaghatta and Mysuru Road, Kempegowda (Majestic) and Whitefield (Kadugodi), Madavara and Silk Institute and RV Road and Bommasandra from 7 am onwards.
BMRCL said normal operations on the entire Purple Line, including the affected section between Deepanjali Nagar and KSR metro stations, would resume from 9:00 AM the same day.
BMRCL advises commuters to take note of the temporary disruption and make alternative travel arrangements if necessary during the maintenance period.
