Naidu will launch water schemes worth ₹30,156 crore in Kadapa on October 5

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu along with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and BJP state president PVN Madhav will launch water schemes worth ₹ 30,156 crore under Jal Jeevan Mission in Proddatur constituency of Kadapa district on Monday (October 5, 2026). With 27.36 lakh new water connections, the scheme aims to provide clean drinking water to 3.27 crore rural households.

District president S. Savitha, accompanied by TDP district president C. Bhupesh Subbarami Reddy, BJP district president Subba Reddy and Jana Sena leader V. Raman inspected the arrangements made at the venue on Sunday (October 4).

The NDA government has taken measures to mobilize nearly one million people for the programme, and the district administration has prepared plans to regulate traffic on the roads leading to Proddatur, as well as facilities such as drinking water, food, shelter, makeshift toilets and health and hygiene at the public meeting place.

Talking to the media, Ms. Savitha said that the government has allocated a large amount of funds for projects like start-up Kadapa, Invest Kadapa, smart kitchens and expansion of the Kadapa airport terminal. She also called the Rayalaseema Garden Center a ‘game changer’.
