Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu approved the brand name ‘Svayam’ for Dwacra products to increase their visibility in the national and international markets.
The decision was taken during a review meeting held at the secretariat on Wednesday, which focused on branding initiatives for Dwacra’s women-made products.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister examined the various proposed brand names and logos submitted by the officials. He ordered that the opinion of the Dwacra association be taken into account before finalizing the logo and that the final decision should reflect majority preferences.
Mr. Naidu said, “Dwacra women are creating exceptional products and it is the government’s responsibility to ensure effective marketing for them. The brand must be attractive not only to local markets but also to attract national and international consumers. The brand name and logo should clearly express the concept and create demand for these products. As the products are marketed through self-help groups, the name ‘Svayam’ should be in line with this logo design.”
The review was attended by Minister Kondapalli Srinivas and senior officials from the SERP department who discussed strategies to strengthen the brand, promotion and market reach of Dwacra products.
