Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu outlined a comprehensive and forward-looking plan to transform the state’s agriculture sector with a sharp focus on increasing farmers’ incomes, promoting sustainability and leveraging technology-driven solutions.
At a review meeting on agriculture and allied sectors on Friday, the chief minister emphasized the need to shift to high-demand and high-value crops. Emphasize value addition in agriculture, especially for crops like fig, suggest dry fruit processing to increase market value. Encourage the promotion of high-value crops such as avocado, guava, jackfruit and pepper, he said.
