To promote industrial entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced the creation of a corpus fund of ₹ 50 crore. “Through the Tata Innovation Hub, we offer guidance, mentoring and support. With new ideas, young entrepreneurs can emerge as future industry leaders,” he said while attending a vibrant gathering of the Telugu diaspora in Zurich on Monday (January 19), the first day of his Davos tour.
The Chief Minister highlighted the initiatives in Andhra Pradesh aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. “We have established the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and support start-ups. Our government policy supports ‘One Family, One Entrepreneur’.” If both spouses are working, one can focus on the business while the other attends to the job,” he explained.
Andhra Pradesh offers numerous opportunities for business and industry and will support entrepreneurs who want to invest locally or internationally. According to him, the government is setting up a corpus fund of ₹50 crore to promote industrial entrepreneurship.
He described Andhra Pradesh’s achievements in the last 18 months, highlighting investments from global giants such as Google and ArcelorMittal and initiatives in renewable energy, industrial growth and technological innovation.
The government is targeting AI, quantum computing, drones, healthcare and agriculture to increase productivity and public welfare. The state has committed to invest ₹22 crore, which can create 20 million jobs, he said.
On his first visit to Davos, Mr. Naidu noted that the presence of Indians, especially Telugus, was minimal. “Now when I see this gathering, I feel as if we are in Vijayawada or Tirupati,” he remarked. He pointed out that Telugu communities exist in 195 countries and Andhra Pradesh has established Non-Resident Telugu (NRT) networks in 148 of them. Although Telugus are abroad, they continue to celebrate traditional festivals and preserve cultural heritage.
Mr. Chandrababu Naidu concluded by emphasizing national pride and Telugu identity, “Once the Telugu community makes progress in all fields, I will be truly happy. The world is now looking towards India. Let all come together for Godavari Pushkarams.”
