Main Minister Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naida said that Andhra Pradesh will be developed as a green energy center in India. On Friday, he discussed the projects related to energy and defense carried out in the state with the Ministers of the Union in Nový Delhi.

Naidu dealt with the media in Nový Delhi after meeting with several trade union ministers, Mr. Naida said that I congratulate the Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh for the success of the Sindoor operation. The Minister of Defense informed him about the strategic plan needed to become a center for the production of defense and aviation innovation.
The state asked for cooperation from the center to study a favorable ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh for the development of integrated defense units, revival of key production units, domestic aviation programs, testing and training centers. With a robust infrastructure, qualified workforce and proactive policy, Andhra Pradesh is ready to play a key role in Atmanirbhar Bharat, he said.
“Andhra Pradesh has proposed to develop a center for the production of missiles and ammunition in the Jaggayyapeta – Dolakonda, where there are 6,000 acres of soil. In Lepakshi – Madakasira – we also designed the center in Visakhina.”
In the Kurnool -orvakal cluster, the main minister said, production facilities for military drones, robotics and advanced defense components were designed. “We also applied for the Center of Excellence DrDdo in IIT, Tirupati. Mr. Rajnath Singh responded positively to these proposals. When we asked for military cantons in the state, he said it would be examined,” Mr. Naida said.
Mr. Naida said he had submitted a comprehensive proposal for Jitendra Singh, the Minister for Science and Technology and Land Science, and sought the support of the government of the Department to transform Andhra Pradesh into a key center for space and innovation. The proposal outlines the development of two state-supported space towns near ISRO SHAR Spaceport and others near Lepakshi- to serve as integrated nodes for satellite production, vehicle development and cooperation in the field.
“With a strategic location, industrial force and infrastructure prepared for the future, Andhra Pradesh has committed itself to developing the Indian space sector. On this transformation path we are looking for recognition and partnership of the center,” Naida said.
Andhra Pradesh is ready to become a green energy center that allows power supply to 24×7 through renewable sources. Within the PM Kusum scheme, the center approved the production of 2,000 MW of solar energy, he added.
