Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) appealed to people to bless the party’s candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha for the upcoming election in Bankipur Assembly constituency. Mr. Nabin said this while interacting with the press in Patna shortly after inaugurating the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election office in Kidwaipuri locality.

Mr. Nabin said that the people of Bankipur have always blessed him and now his younger brother will work with the same trust and blessings, which will further accelerate the journey of development in Bankipur.

He added that it is a matter of great joy that the BJP leadership has given an opportunity to a dedicated party worker – the mandal president – to contest the Bankipur bypoll.

“I am confident that based on the long familiar bond we share with the people of this constituency and the legacy of my late father Navin Kishore Prasad Sinha who looked after this area for years of struggle and with my father’s blessings, public trust and support of party mates, this candidate will succeed,” Mr Nabin said.

The seat fell vacant after Mr. Nabin was elected to the Rajya Sabha. On Friday, the BJP nominated Mr. Sinha as its candidate after Abhishek Kumar alias Bunty withdrew his candidature.

“Dedicated Worker”

“The party has once again given an opportunity to a dedicated worker – someone who comes from a Jana Sangh era veteran family. He is a young man who is recognized by the locals as a committed worker, someone who always stands by the people and helps solve their problems,” Nabin said.
