Chief Secretary V Srinivas highlighted the state budget outlay of ₹ 6.11 crore while releasing the SFP at the NABARD State Credit Seminar. Mr. Srinivas said that NABARD has conducted credit planning with the preparation of SFP for the next financial year to align financial institutions with the development priorities of the state.
Mr. Srinivas asked the banks and other stakeholders to work together to achieve the projections mentioned in the SFP. “NABARD has played a significant role in strengthening the cooperative movement through computers, training programs and financial support to cooperatives,” he said.
NABARD Chief General Manager, Rajasthan, R. Ravi Babu said that the credit potential of the priority sector has been calculated in line with the state government’s vision for ‘Developed Rajasthan-2047’. “The block credit potential is estimated for various sub-sectors keeping in view the available infrastructure and actual credit flow at the country level,” he said.
As part of the estimates, agriculture and allied activities were predicted at ₹ 2.24 lakh and micro, small and medium enterprises at ₹ 2.27 lakh, indicating the balance of growth between the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors.
Mr. Babu said that the credit potential assessed in the SFP will serve as a benchmark for preparing the annual credit plan. A plan will also be created to achieve credit projections, improve last mile delivery and promote inclusion, especially for women farmers and cooperative institutions.
The seminar also appreciated the efforts made by Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Multipurpose PACS, District Central Cooperative Banks and Farmer Producer Organizations during 2025-26.
Among others, Additional Principal Secretary (Industry) Shikhar Agrawal, Additional Principal Secretary (Energy) Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary (Cooperative) Manju Rajpal and Finance Minister (Budget) Rajan Vishal were present.
