Mysuru Travel Mart 2026 is launched which aims to promote tourism and investment

The fifth edition of Mysuru Travel Mart (MTM) 2026 was launched on Friday when Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated the three-day travel fair at the Jagannatha Center for Art and Culture in Mysuru.

The event brought together tourism stakeholders, policy makers, hospitality leaders and buyers from across the country to strengthen Karnataka’s tourism ecosystem and place Mysuru more prominently on India’s tourism map.

Organized by Mysuru Travels Association in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Tourism, Karnataka Tourism Department, Mysuru Hotel Owners Association and Skal International Mysuru, the event aims to showcase Mysuru as a leading tourist destination of national importance.

Among those present were MP Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, President Mysuru Travels Association BS Prashanth, Chairman Mysuru Travel Mart CA Jayakumar, Vice Chairman C. Narayanagowda, Secretary Samarth G. Vaidya, Vice President Association David Raj, Secretary Hotel Manunath Shastri Charit Mysuru.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shekhawat said that Karnataka could significantly increase its tourism potential by adopting a national tourism policy and creating a more investment-friendly environment for the hospitality industry.

The event will include panel discussions on Saturday on topics such as media and tourism, Mysore airport development, the proposed film city in Mysore and sustainable tourism. Senior journalists, film personalities and tourism experts are expected to attend.

The Skal International Mysuru Tourism and Hospitality Awards Night will be held on Saturday evening, during which 15 awards will be presented to hotels, resorts, tourism professionals and individuals for their contribution to the growth of tourism in the region.

Travel mart presents exhibitors from various destinations. More than 500 guest buyers from across India are expected to attend, making MTM 2026 one of the premier tourism networking platforms in the region. Organizers expect around 1,000 visitors during the three-day event.
