The new devices for which the foundation stones have recently been laid are the Institute of Non -Nordrology and the Regional Endocrinology Center, which is expected to improve health services in the region.
While the Institute of the Non -Nordic and Endocrinology Center is financed by the State (CRORE 75 GBP and CRORE 50)), the block of critical care, which is also approaching PKTB, is an facility with financing from the center and the state in a ratio of 60-40.
Endowment blocks for a non-trurological hospital, which currently operates on the campus of the Kr hospital in the city, and the endocrinology center, recently laid the main Minister Siddaramaiah. All new devices are connected to Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMCRI).
MMCRI and Dean KR Dakshayani, Director of MMCI, said the new facilities would improve public health services and thanked the state government for approval of projects proposed by the institute. The critical care block appears at the price of 16 crore. She said that she primarily focuses on head injury cases and added that the PKTB campus already has a trauma care center, which can handle mainly orthopedic and neurological cases.
Mr. Dakshayani said that cases of hormonal imbalances, glands problems, thyroid and diabetes problems are treated with an endocrinological center. Given the increase in cases related to endocrinology and diabetes, patients will benefit as soon as the new device is functional.
In addition to Mysur, the Kalaburagi also comes the Regional Endocrinology Center for 100 Crore. The Center in Memor will be founded in MMCRI and will be part of DME. The Karnataka Institute for Endocrinology and Research, which serves as the main center in Bengalur, and the upcoming centers in Mysur and Kalaburagi can act as its branches, said doctors here.
Dean MMCri said that it is expected that work on the OPD complex will begin soon as soon as the old special building of the department is demolished. The four -storey block comes at the price of Crore 75; It is a project approved to commemorate the centenary of MMCRI celebrations, he added.
The main minister also laid the foundation stone for the Center for Peripheral Cancer Care in the PKTB area here. It comes for the price of 50 crore.
