
The eighth edition of the Science Theater Mysore festival will take place in Mysuro from 24 to 27 July.
The festival will take place at Sri Ramagovinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishn Nagar and starts daily at 17:00. It is organized by the Mysore Science Theater Festival Trust in conjunction with the Indian Institute for Astrophysics, Bengaluru and Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Mysur.
Annapurni Subramaniam, astrophysicist and violinist, celebrates this event at 16:30 with a recital violin. Neelanjan Choudhary, an English playwright and novelist from Bengalur, will deliver the main speech about scientific and scientific games.
Daily programs in front of the games (17:00 – 19:00) include an exhibition of mathematical toys, books and posters about Indian female scientists, in addition to viewing sunlight. Special sessions include talk about how astronomy detronated people on July 25, discussions on Indian female scientists in 2025 July 26 and the quiz on Serendipitous Science 27th July.
In 2017, the festival was founded by three amateur theater groups from Mysuru, which joined the theater games focused on science and scientists.
Initially, they organized translated English games, now produce original Kannada games on Indian science and scientists. The games were presented more than thirty times and have achieved prestigious institutions such as CSIR-CFTRI, the Indian Institute of Science, the Institute for Human Genetics and several engineering universities.
The organizers are Parivartana Ranga Samaja, Ariva Rang and Kalasuruchi with the support of Kutuhali-Kannada (Kannada Science Magazine) and Vivekanand for Youth, Mašuru. The Indian Institute for Astrophysics sponsored the festival, the note said.
