The MLA for Krishnaraja TS Srivatsa lamented on Tuesday over the alleged absence of funds to repair roads in Mysuru, Karnataka.
Srivatsa, who addressed a press conference here, pointed out that the city’s roads were full of potholes, even though Dasara is planned in September this year.
He urged the main Minister Siddaramaiah to plan the start of a number of development work in Mysur at the end of this month to ensure that the city is without a pothole. The state of the “Pothole-Ridden” road in Mysur has deteriorated due to monsoon rains, he said and urged Mr. Siddaramaiaha to take the “priority” repair work.
“Authorities have funds for cutting roads that can carry out underground drainage (UGD), but funds are not available to repair roads damaged by the same,” he said.
After many scenes and solving the problem to the main secretary of the state, Mr. Srivatsa said he managed to ensure the penalty of funds to repair five roads.
