Mysuru police arrested three and seized more than 40 grams of MDMA

The city police arrested three persons and seized more than 40 grams of MDMA worth ₹4,000 in an ongoing crackdown on the illegal sale and transportation of narcotics.

Here it is reported that Mandi police arrested Mohammed Kareem and Nishad Pasha and seized 3.14 grams of MDMA from them. The case was registered according to § 22 letter (b) of the NDPS Act and the accused were remanded in judicial custody.

Further investigation led to the arrest of Mohammed Roshan, 22, a car sprayer resident of Ghousia Nagar in the city, who absconded after supplying MDMA to Mr Nishad Pasha.

Police said 41.31 grams of MDMA worth around ₹4,000 was seized from him. He was brought before the court and taken into judicial custody.

It is learned that Mr. Mohammed Roshan already has a case registered against him at the Udayagiri Police Station under the NDPS Act.

Further investigation revealed that he obtained MDMA from an unknown person in Bengaluru through social media and later sold it in Mysuru. Police said a watch had been fitted to his distribution network and further measures would follow.

The city police are continuing operations against those involved in the sale, transportation and consumption of narcotics in Mysuru and strict action is being taken, a police statement said.
