Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru organized an interaction with Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director, Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). The session served as a platform for dialogue between CONCOR and local industries to explore ways to strengthen logistics infrastructure, streamline supply chains and improve trade facilitation for industries in and around Mysuru.
Discussions focused on critical areas such as customs clearance, domestic and EXIM logistics and storage and operational facilities at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Kadakola. The meeting also reviewed the current status of ICD Kadakola and the opportunities it presents for improving connectivity to major ports and industrial corridors.
Industry participants highlighted the need to accelerate operational readiness of facilities to support exports from the Mysuru region, reduce logistics costs and improve turnaround times for both SMEs and large enterprises, according to a report by CII, Mysuru.
Commenting on the session, Mr. Swarup said, “Our aim is to provide end-to-end logistics solutions – cost-effective, efficient and sustainable – supported by strong first- and last-mile connectivity, modern warehousing and technology-driven systems that enable industries to more easily access national and global markets.” He appreciated CII Mysuru’s proactive engagement and assured that CONCOR remains committed to working with industries to realize the full potential of ICD Kadakola and other logistics assets across the region.
Nagaraja Gargeshwari, Chairman, CII Mysuru, reaffirmed CII’s commitment to enable sustainable and competitive growth for SMEs through improved infrastructure, digital adoption and policy enforcement. Mr. Gargeshwari emphasized that improved logistics capabilities are critical to achieving higher productivity, lower supply chain costs and better global market access for regional industries.
On the occasion, both CII and CONCOR expressed their firm commitment to work together to strengthen multi-modal logistics networks, expand warehousing capacity and promote inclusive growth for industries in the Mysuru region.
