A national conference on ‘Social Awareness on Cyber Security and Phishing Attacks: Challenges and Prevention Strategies’ was held at Maharani’s Arts College for Women in the city on Friday.
It was jointly conducted by the Maharani’s Arts College for Women and the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) and was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research.
The release states that this is part of a joint research project titled “Strategies for Proactive Detection and Mitigation of Cyber-Attacks Based on AI and ML” and has been approved under Vision Viksit Bharat @2047.
KM Anil Kumar, Professor, JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru, chaired the conference and emphasized the need for collective responsibility to combat AI-driven cyber threats.
Organizers said over 50 research papers were received from across the country, of which 20 were selected for presentation. The conference emphasized that cyber security today is both a technological necessity and a social responsibility that is essential to ensuring digital security in an era defined by artificial intelligence. The proceedings of the conference were formally published during the inauguration.
