Missor of the Commissioner G. Lakshmikant Reddy on Wednesday met with the author and winner of the Booker Ban Mushtaq in her residence in Hassan and was expanded by a formal invitation to start the Dasar festival.
The author was also felicitated by Mr. Reddy and other officers of the district Mysuru administration.
Musthaq, who spoke to the media on this occasion, said she was happy to receive the invitation, and thanked the Karnataka for this honor. However, she refused to respond to one of the statements of political parties in terms of the decision of the state government, inviting her to inaugurate Dasar. “Now I will not respond to any rights to comments,” Mrs. Mushtauq said.
Mr. Reddy said that the district administration of Mysuru invited the author to start Dasaru in Mysuru September 22. “The state government decided to invite Musthaq to start the festival and fortunately accepted the invitation,” he said.
The deputy of the commissioner was accompanied by the CEO of Mysur Zilla Panchayat S. Kumar, another deputy Commissioner P. Shivaraj and other Mysur officers.
