On Monday, Mysuro City Corporation (MCC) organized a “eco -friendly Ganesha” workshop to promote sustainability during the festival and discourage the use of idols made from Paris.
Commissioner MCC Shaikh Tanveer Asif started the workshop by symbolic creating an idol to indicate this opportunity.
Almost 300 students representing various institutions participated in the workshop. Participants came from government schools, JSS public schools, international public schools Vidyalakshmi, public school Gnananavahini, Baden Powell school, adijaamva, school MIT, TS Subbanna School, Taralabhal Educational Institution and Maharaja School and Maharaja and Maharaja and Maharaja and Maharaja Maharaja and Maharaja and Maharaja and Maharaja) and Maharaja and Maharaja) and Maharajan and Maharaja and Maharajan) and Maharaja and Maharaja) and Maharaja) and Maharaja) and Maharaja. (Bogadi Hostel), said a press release.
Artists from Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts led participants in the field of ecological idols using natural clay.
To support creativity, competition was also held. Sudeep Kumar and Indesh of Mit College packed the first prize, while Pratham and Sealavaraju from the TS Subbanna School won the second and third prizes.
The Commissioner congratulated the winners and all the other participants to maintain Mysur in purity and greenery. This initiative is part of MCC’s continuing efforts to raise awareness of environmental practices and ensure festivals festivals in harmony with the environment.
MCC urged citizens to use this festive season Clay, and contribute to becoming a model city for sustainable celebrations.
