Mysore Sugar Company in Mandya, also known as Mysugar, focuses on crushing 4.5 lakh metric tons during 2025-26.
The MLA for Mandy P. Ravikumar announced the goal of the factory in a year in office organized on Monday to light the boiler in the sugar area to mark the beginning of overwhelming operations this year.
Here it can be mentioned that operations in Mysugar have remained suspended for several years until they were revived in 2023 with 50 Crore financial help from the government and produced 1.68 lakhs by crushing 2.41 lakh metric tons of sugar cane during 2023.
Subsequently, the sugar mill set the goal of crushing 2.5 lakho metric tons per 2024-25 and until September 2024 it reached about 75,000 tons of sugar cane.
After sharing the ambitious goal of crushing 4.5 Lakhov metric tons during 2025-26, Mr. Ravi told Mysugar Gangadhar CD submitted to the State Government to issue a CRORE 28 GBP as a working capital for a factory.
He said that the factory cannot only be operated on profit and loss calculations. However, he expressed the certainty that the government sugar factory, which is currently in loss, will eventually get out of the red and become profitable.
The factory needs time and opportunity to turn, said.
