Official Rules
Please read these official rules carefully. By participating in the survey and lottery, you agree to these official rules.
1. Eligibility
No purchase or payment of any kind is required to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited. The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, aged 18 or older. Employees, officers, and directors (and their immediate family members, such as spouses, children, parents, and siblings) of MyFitnessPal, Inc. (the Sponsor), as well as individuals living in the same household (whether related or not), are not eligible to enter. Participants are referred to as "Participants" or "You." By participating, you agree to these official rules and the Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all respects.
2. Promotional Period
The sweepstakes (the Sweepstakes) begins on April 24, 2025, at 12:01 PM Eastern Time (ET) and ends on May 2, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET (the Entry Period). Entries must be received and recorded by the Sponsor during the Entry Period. The Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes.
3. How to Enter
Participants will receive one automatic entry upon successfully completing and submitting a survey. Alternatively, to enter without submitting a survey, email community@myfitnesspal.com with your full name and email address to participate in the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of method. You may enter by submitting a survey or email, but not both. The Sponsor reserves the right to verify all entries and disqualify any participant suspected of violating these official rules. Entries must be received during the Entry Period to be eligible. All eligible entries will be grouped together (the Qualified Entries), and the Sweepstakes winner will be selected from these Qualified Entries.
4. Drawing
Within thirty (30) days after the Entry Period ends, the Sponsor or its designee will randomly draw ten (10) winners (the Winners) from the Qualified Entries. If any Winner is disqualified or fails to take necessary steps to claim the prize, an alternate winner (the Alternate Winner) may be selected at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winners (and Alternate Winners, if applicable) will be notified by email. The Sponsor or its designee will use reasonable efforts to deliver the prize within 30 days of the drawing, provided the Winner supplies a valid mailing address in response to the notification email.
5. Prize, Chance of Winning, Approximate Retail Value (ARV)
Each Winner will receive a $25.00 Amazon Gift Card, subject to Amazon’s terms of use. The prize is non-transferable, and no substitutions are allowed except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion and only for a prize of comparable value. The Sponsor makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality, fitness, or operation of the prize. The approximate retail value (ARV) of each prize is $25.00; the total combined ARV of all prizes is $250.00. The odds of winning depend on the total number of Qualified Entries received.
The Sponsor uses Amazon.com’s trademark for reference purposes only. No sponsorship, endorsement, or permission is implied by such use.
6. Disqualification
The Sponsor or its designee reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify Winners or Alternate Winners for:
a) Providing inaccurate personal or contact information at any time during the Sweepstakes; or
b) Any notification that is deemed undeliverable.
Additionally, the Sponsor may disqualify any participant for behavior deemed harmful or disruptive to the Sweepstakes, including:
- Violating these official rules or the Sponsor’s website terms;
- Submitting inappropriate, discriminatory, or otherwise undesirable content;
- Acting in an unsportsmanlike or harassing manner.
Disqualified Winners or Alternate Winners forfeit their right to the prize, and the Sponsor has no further obligation to them.
7. Limitations of Liability
The Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for and disclaim all liability for:
1) Incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by participants, wireless carriers, internet service providers, or unauthorized human intervention;
2) Technical failures, including but not limited to errors, viruses, worms, or similar harmful attacks;
3) Typographical, printing, network, mechanical, electronic, technical, human, or other errors;
4) Lost, incomplete, late, misdirected, garbled, undelivered, stolen, or damaged entries or transmissions;
5) Unauthorized human or mechanical intervention in the Sweepstakes.
The Released Parties are not responsible for the prize, including any defects or issues arising from third-party actions. All entries are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Some jurisdictions may not allow limitations or exclusions of liability, so some restrictions may not apply to you.
8. General Conditions
By participating, you agree to abide by these official rules. All Sponsor decisions are final. You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from any liability arising from your participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize.
If the Sweepstakes is disrupted by events beyond the Sponsor’s control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government actions), the Sponsor may abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Sweepstakes without further obligation. If the Sweepstakes is abbreviated, the Sponsor may, at its discretion, award prizes based on eligible entries received up to the time of the disruption.
9. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration; Jurisdiction and Venue
Except where prohibited, you agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration will take place in New York County, New York, and you waive any objection to this venue.
You also waive your right to a jury trial and agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis, not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive your right to act as a representative or class member in any dispute. Claims must be filed within one (1) year or be forever barred.
If the arbitration provision is invalid, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of New York County, New York, under New York law, regardless of conflict of law principles.
The prevailing party in any dispute is entitled to recover reasonable costs, including attorney’s fees and court costs.
10. Winner List
For a list of Winners, email community@myfitnesspal.com no later than 60 days after the Entry Period ends. Limit one (1) request per email address.
11. Privacy Policy
See the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy for details on how personal data collected in connection with the Sweepstakes is used. By entering, you consent to the use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. MyFitnessPal Terms of Use
The MyFitnessPal Terms of Use, available at https://blog.myfitnesspal.com/myfitnesspal-survey-sweepstakes/, are incorporated into these official rules.
