
On Wednesday, a memorandum of understanding (mine) was signed for the establishment of Doppler’s weather on Pazhassija College, Pullyly, Wayanad. This project for the establishment of a radar station in North Kerala for weather monitoring has been a long waiting for the state since 2010. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) will start working on the installation of a radar, which soon developed Bharat Electronics Limited, Bengaluru, College.
An x-pound radar is installed, which can monitor the weather in an area of 100 km. States like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka will also benefit from the radar.
