“… they say I raped more women, but none of the women voluntarily came to complain, came six days before the elections (Lok Sabha last year) … The prosecution party deliberately brought them and made them a complaint,” Prajwal said.
He pointed out that a woman (victim) did not complain to anyone, including her husband or a relative of alleged rape, said he would come and filed a complaint when certain videos were sent.
Prajwal said he would bow to the belief of the court, said, “I have a family, I have not seen my mother and father for six months ….. please give me fewer punishments, what I ask the court.”
“The only mistake I made in my life is to grow in politics,” said Prajwal, arrested in May last year after his arrival from Germany.
The Special Court for Member/Judge Mla Santosh Gajanan Bhat on Friday on one of the four sexual abuse and rape registered against him 34 -year -old Prajwal. The court will probably say a quantum of punishment on Saturday.
The advocates were looking for a lifetime imprisonment for Prajwal Revanna during hearing before conviction.
The case concerns a 48 -year -old woman who worked as a help on the Gannikada family farm in Holenarasipura in the Hassan district. She was reportedly raped twice in Hassan Farm House and Bengaluru Residence- in 2021 and the law recorded by the accused of his mobile phone.
