Witnesses told the painful and scary tragedy in the traumatic center of the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) in Jaipur, where eight critical patients were killed on Sunday evening due to suspicious short -circuit. One of them shared their suffering and said that “mother, brother, was still imprisoned inside the hospital”, although the police reported “everyone was evacuated”.
“When there was a spark, there was a cylinder next to her. Smoke spread throughout the ICU, which caused everyone to escape the panic. Some managed to save their own patients, but my room was alone.
“There was a fire in the ICU and I didn’t even know.
OM Prakash, whose 25 -year -old son’s aunt’s son was hospitalized, described suffering and said: “Smoke began to spread around 23:20, and warned the doctor that it could cause discomfort to patients.
“My mother was admitted to the ICU. When there was a spark, I warned the doctor four to five times that they came from there but refused it as normal. Suddenly the smoke swallowed the area and all the employees ran out, left no one to help and save my mother but I was in the hospital. Employees for alleged negligence.
“We were inside the operating theater, when we heard of fire, so we immediately hurried to save people inside the center. We managed to save at least three to four patients. However, as the flames intensified, we could no longer go to the building.
He mentioned that the police arrived shortly thereafter, but could not enter the building immediately because of the strong smoke. When the firefighter got there, the whole department was filled with smoke. Firefighters had to break the window on the other side of the building to start handling the fire.

Meanwhile, the main Minister Bhajanlal Sharma described the incident as “extremely unfortunate”.
He said, “After reaching the hospital, I gathered information from doctors and officials and issued instructions to ensure quick efforts for help. Every possible step is made for the safety of patients, their treatment and care for those affected and the situation is constantly monitored.
