In a move that could open a new door for young footballers, Muthoot Pappachan Center of Excellence in Sports (MPCE) signed a memorandum with the German Borussia Dortmund (BVB) to start a long -term strategic youth development program in Kerala.
Thomas Muthoot, director of the Muthoot Pappachan Group, which operates mpces, and the CEO of BVB Football Academy Christian Dercks signed a memorandum aimed at raising talent, instilling life skills and open opportunities for thousands of young players.
“India has an immense unused football potential,” Dercks said. “Our visit to MALAPPURAM MFA has laid the foundation for this partnership that will equip players with skills that can be used in and off the field.”
The long -term partnership will provide players and coaches with first -class training methodologies as well as open paths for Indian talents for training in Germany and to be part of a large network of BVB academies around the world.
“This partnership is not just about developing players, but about shaping futures and awakening,” said Thomas Muthoot.
Hannah Muthoot, the MPG sport director, said: “We do not invest in the program, invest in people. Our goal is to use Keral’s football passion to build character, bridge social division and create the leaders of tomorrow outside the playground”.
