In order to allow the peace behavior of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, the Muslim organization in Belagavi agreed to postpone the Milad-Unbi ID in the city.
This was announced at a meeting of the Peace Committee convened by Police Commissioner Baras Bhushan Gulabra in Belagavi on Monday.
The leaders of various organizations participated. They announced that they would postpone the ID celebrations until September 14 at September 5th to meet the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
Mr. Boras described the decision as a move towards municipal harmony.
“It is the second year when the Muslim community is overwhelming its festival calendar to allow Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. They not only cooperate with police and district administrations, but also help smooth behavior and maintenance of law and order.
Representatives of police police Narayan Baramanmani and Niranjan Raje Urs, assistant Commissioner of Police Gangadadadadadadadadhar and others were present.
