The accused family of Sonama Raghuvanki will not hire any lawyer until he speaks to her, Sonam’s brother Govind Raghuvanki said on Thursday. Sonam is one of the main accused of the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanki in Meghalay.
Talk to News18, Govind Raghuvanki said, “I received calls from at least 10 to 15 lawyers, offered the case and managed everything. But I asked all to wait.”
“As I said before … we hired any lawyer and we don’t want to hire yet.
“But it is not appropriate for us to meet her because the police investigation is going on. I would like to meet her soon after the investigation …” he said.
Raja and Sonam-Par from Indore-Altern to Meghalaya on their honeymoon at the end of May before they disappeared on May 23. Raghuvanki’s Rája body was found in the gorge near Sohra (Cherrapunji) 2 June. Sonam was later found near the Dhaba road along the Varanasi-Ghazipur highway.

Sonam’s brother Govind also replied to the news that Raja’s family wanted to make Sonam’s Pind Daan for Sonam – the last ritual ritual in the Hindu tradition. Govind said his family supports this decision.
