Govind, the brother of Sonama, who allegedly hired a man to kill his husband Raja Raghuvanki, said he did not know about the relationship between his sister and her “friend” Raj Kushwah before marriage, and if he knew “would marry them or escape her”.
“If I knew I would marry them, or let her escape with Raj Kushwah,” Govind said by Live Hindustan.
Give Sonam ‘the death penalty’
Govind, while he stood with Rajana’s family, said he still sees them as his own. “I came with Raja family to make his last ceremonies … They are like my brother’s family. If she (Sonam) is found guilty, the death penalty should be awarded,” he said a few days ago.
He called his sister “stubborn and short lively” and said, “There has never been any pressure on our part. If she didn’t want to marry, she could say. What she did is indore, but the whole state Madhya Pradesh.”
Case Raja and Sonam Raghuvansehi
Raja and Sonam married on May 11th. They traveled to Shilllong only ten days later, where Raja was reportedly murdered. The police arrested Meghalaya Sonam, her lover Raj and his co -workers for their suspicious role in the predicted conspiracy for killing Raja.
Raja’s body was found 2 June in the gorge near Weisawdong Falls. Initially, it was believed that Sonam was missing, but appeared again at the road restaurant in Ghazipur 9. June and turned to the police.
The final ritual “Pind Daan” (offer of abundant foods such as rice, barley, flour and sesame seeds made in prayer for souls left) for Raja Raghuvanki was completed by a family of entrepreneurs based in Indore. Raja’s brother Vipin confirmed that Govind had contacted his family to be part of the ceremony, and said, “We told him he could come. After all, he was a fault of his sister.”
According to the authorities, Sonam’s past relationship with Raja was a decisive factor in the plot of the murder and is considered a championship in this case. Within “Operation Honeymoon”, SIT gathered major evidence from both Indore and Ghazipura to combine the sequence of events that led to the discovery of Raja’s body in the Sohra area in Meghalaya.
