The special investigation team of the Meghalaya (SIT) submitted a 790 -page indictment in the high -ranking case of the murder of Raja RaghuvanShi, formally accused his wife Sonam Raghuvanki, her lover Raj Kushwah and three other murder.
The indictment was submitted to the first class of the court in the Sub-Division Sohra court. All five accused, Raj, Akash Rajput, Anand Kurmi and Vishal Singh Chauhan- were arrested and remain in the judiciary. They are accused of plotting and performing Rajaho murder during honeymoon 23 May.

The accusations include murder (Section 103 (I))), the destruction of evidence (Section 238 (a)) and criminal conspiracy (Section 61 (2)) under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit.
Along with the accusation, there were also substantial material evidence and annexes in the court. Police named Sonam Raghuvanki, Raj Kushwaha, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Ashish Singh Rajput and Aanand Kurmi as the key accused in the case of Raja Raghuvansehi and were booked under 103 (1) 238 (A)/ 61 (2) Bharatiya Nyaya (BNS).
“On 21.05.2025, Sri Raja Raghuwanshi and his wife Santi. Sonam Raghuvanki of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, came to Shilllong on their honeymoon and then continued Sohra.
“After a few days of intense search for the Police Sohra, Sot, Ndrf. SDF, Trekking Groups and Local People from the surrounding villages, the body was found on 02.06.2025, identified as (l) Raja Raghuvansehi from the deep ravine in Arliang Riatongrim, Umblai near Wei. (1)/238 (a)/309 (6)/3 (6) of the BNS Act was registered, ”added the press release.
“The fee for fees for 790 pages against the arrested accused, together with substantial significant evidence and attachment, was filed with the court judge 1.
The body of Raja Raghuvanki was discovered in the gorge near Sohra (Cherrapunji) 2 June. His wife Sonam is later located near the Dhaba road along the Varanasi-Ghazipur motorway. The couple, both from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, disappeared on the honeymoon in Meghalaya.
790 -page fees against the arrested accused, along with substantial significant evidence and annexes, were filed in the court.
The case, including the killing of an entrepreneur based in Indore, gained national attention at the beginning of this year.
