
Indian star Long Jumper, Murali Sreesheshankar, continued her gentle run after returning from injuries and secured her third direct title when he won the event at Qosan Memorial Athletics meeting in Almaty, Kazakhstan on Saturday, August 3.
His further efforts were 7.73 m, 7.58 m, 7.57 m, 7.80 and 7.79 m. The personal best Sreeshankar is 8.41 m. This was the third competition Sreeshankar since returning from the knee injury he suffered in April last year. This problem forced a 26 -year -old man to undergo surgery and miss the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.

Before the injury suffered, Sreeshankar was the last performance on the pitch during the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China in 2023. The 26 -year -old man secured a silver medal in the games and was looking for a good run at the Olympics.
Sreeshankar was amazed at the field at the beginning of the year at Open PuneWhere he secured victory by jumping 8.05 m to ensure the best place. Then he continued his gentle run at the Maia Cidade meeting to Desporto, Portugal, where he came back to the top.
Sreeshankar won in Portugal by jumping 7.75 m before heading to Kazakhstan. While the Indian ace could not reach 8 meters on Saturday, he showed a good consistency with the rest of his jumps, he secured a strong surface and the upper step of the stage.
In September, Sreeshankar has to qualify for the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo. The qualifying mark was set at 8.27 m.
