The municipal tension came to the forefront in the in -inferior city of Uttarakhand on Wednesday after the 12 -year -old girl was reportedly attacked by an older man from another community. The angry crowd continued to rage the market because it vandalized shops owned by community and vehicles parked on roads.
Given the outbreak of tensions in the middle of the top season of tourism, tourists who were at the hilly station remained limited to their hotel rooms when the police performed a peaceful meeting to maintain the right and order.
According to the police, the alleged rape took place on April 12 and the company was filed against the accused name of Usman on the basis of a complaint registered by the victim of the victim 30 April.
The Senior Superintendent of Polish (SSP) Prahlad Meena told the media that the girl’s mother lived in the Sambhal district in Uttarprady and lived with one of her relatives in the vessel.
“When the girl met her mother later in April, she told the incident to her mother, who called the police. We immediately registered the company for the complaint and arrested the accused.
Counseling for the victim
The district judge Vandan to help the victims to cope with the incident ordered the psychiatric counseling of the smaller victim.
When the incident report spread in the city, people gathered near the market where the accused worked, and vandalized shops operated a minority community. People working in shops were attacked and the vehicles on the road were vandalized. The stones were thrown on the religious structure of the minority community.
Municipal slogans were brought up by members of some right -wing clothing, who also introduced demonstrations outside the police station and demanded a strict action against the accused.
Appeal
Mr. Meena called on the protesters to stay calm and maintain peace in the city. “Do not allow any activities that could cost the installation image as a tourist destination,” SSP added.
When the incident forced markets, shops and other facilities to turn off, tourists began to leave the city.
Vinod Rawat, Mallitaal Hotelier, said tourists began to leave on Thursday, and many of them also canceled the preliminary reservations made for the weekend due to limits in the Kopc city of the Police.
NCW takes knowledge
The incident caused criticism from the National Commission for Women (NCW). “The NCM strongly condemns a terrible crime reported from the inferior, which concerns the rape of class 7. NCW took the knowledge and the chairman sent a letter to DGP Uttarakhand to ensure rapid measures, support victims and time -bound, fair investigation,” the Commission said on its X.
