Swami Muni Narayana Prasad, renowned scholar and head of Narayana Gurukula, Varkala, died on Friday at the age of 87. He was not feeling well due to heart disease.
Muni Narayana Prasad, a highly respected figure in the lineage of Guru Sree Narayana, became associated with the Narayana Gurukula movement in 1955 after coming in contact with Guru Nitya Chaitanya Yati. Head of Narayana Gurukula since 1999, he was the third individual to hold this position, after Nataraja Guru and Nitya Chaitanya Yati.
