Munambam is a Waqf property, says Chairman

Kerala Waqf Board Chairman KS Hamsa on Tuesday said that the disputed property in Munambam was a Waqf property.

Mr. Hamsa said Chief Minister VD Satheesan’s view that the holding was not a Waqf was his personal view. Mr Satheesan’s earlier statement that he would resolve the issue within 10 minutes if elected to power should not be interpreted literally, he told reporters.

Mr. Hamsa said the council has given its response to the Ministry of Minority Affairs regarding uploading details of Munambam holding on the ministry’s portal.
