
Part of a pillar of an under-construction metro line in Mulund, northeast Mumbai, collapsed on Saturday afternoon. About three to four people are injured, a fire department official told PTI.
The incident reportedly took place around 12.20pm on the main thoroughfare of LBS Road in front of the Johnson and Johnson factory.
“The cement slab of the pillar collapsed and fell on the autorickshaw below, completely smashing the tricycle. Three to four people are feared to be injured,” an official told PTI.
“Firemen and policemen are on the spot, as well as employees of the company that is building the subway route (Line 4) to monitor operations after the incident,” the official added.
