
Young Indians Mumbai Indians Tilak Varma get some key game time of the red ball after securing Stint with Hampshire at the Regional Championship in England. According to media reports, Tilak is ready to join Hampshire to a short spell from June 18 to August 2.
The 22 -year -old man appears in four matches of the championship during his stint with Hampshire. This means the first experience of Hyderabad, and comes at a time when it is considered one of the promising Indian prospects for all formats.
The Association of Cricket Association Hyderabad (HCA) confirmed Tilak’s participation in the regional championship.
“The cricket Association Hyderabad is pleased to inform that Hyderabad’s international player Mr. N Thakur Tilak Varma addressed the Hampshire County team to play in the British Regional Championship,” HCA said.
“The Hyderabad Cricket Association wishes him a great shade with Hampshire County.”
Tilak’s Stint in County Championship will match with Indian test tour after Englandwhich will be played from 20 to 4 August.
Tilak Varma played 18 first -class matches and scored 1 204 runs on average 50.16, with the highest score of 121. It has five centuries and four years of the 1950s. He last performed in a match with a red ball during the release of Duleep Trophy 2024.
Tilak debuted in India in 2023 and has since appeared in four ODI and 25 T20i. He has established himself as a key member of the Indian T20i settings and accumulated 749 runs, including two centuries, in an impressive average of 49.93.
In the IPL 2025 season, Tilak scored 343 runs in 16 matches, including the two fifties, in a relatively quieter campaign for Indian dough in Mumbai.
