Why is Milad-Un-Nabi observed?
Milad-unbi, also known as Eid-E-Milad-Un-Nabi or Mawlid, commemorates the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (Saw). The Prophet’s birthday is observed at 12 Rabbi Ul Awwal, which, according to the Islamic calendar, is the third month.
One of the most important parts of Eid Milad-unbi is to celebrate the life of the prophet, his teachings, suffering and his character when he even forgiven his enemies. The Prophet’s anniversary is generally marked by compliance rather than a celebration, while the festivities are kept to a minimum.
