
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, September 21, started the most modern international cruise terminal in Mumbai (MICT) in Indira Dock. The aim of the terminal is to provide passengers with a trouble -free and effective experience. MICT was developed as part of “Cruise Bharat Mission”.
It is ready to strengthen the Indian naval infrastructure and build Mumbai as a premiere tourism.
The cruise terminal extends above 415 000 square feet. It is designed to process up to 1 million passengers annually, with a capacity for 5 cruise ships at the same time.
It is equipped with 72 check -in and immigration counters.
Sarbananda Sonowal, the Minister of Harbor, Shipping & Waterways, stressed that Mumbai had served his busy coastal business well.
Sonowal said: “Bombai’s maritime history is a rich and integral part of our civilization. As a coastal center, the nation served a skillfully with a busy coastal shop.”
‘Samiddhi’ Samriddhi ‘
On Saturday, PM Modi also laid the endowment blocks for more development projects at the “Samriddhi Samriddhi” event in the Bhavagar district in Gujarat.
Laid the foundation stone of a new container terminal and associated equipment in the port of Syama Prasad Mokerjee, Kolkata; new container bed, equipment for handling and related development in the port of Paradip; Ton of takra multi-cargo terminal; Firefighting equipment and modern road connections in the port of Kamarajar, Ennore; Coast protection, including sea walls and regets in Chennai port; Building sea wall on Nicobar Island; multipurpose load and green bio-methanol in Deendayal Port, Kandla; and boat repair equipment in patch and varanasi.
He also inaugurated the HPLNG regulatory terminal in the Harbor CHHAR, Acrylics & Oxo alcohol project in Gujarat IOCL, 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative, PM-KUSUM 475 MW component C Solar Cheeder for solar feeders for 45 MW Badeli Solar PV.
The Prime Minister laid the LNG infrastructure foundation, other projects of renewable energy, coastal protection, highway and health and urban transport projects, including expansion in Sir T. General Hospital in Bhavagar, Govind Sinh Government Hospital in Jamnagar.
