NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha said micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have emerged as key drivers of economic development in the country as they provide employment in both rural and urban areas.
Addressing a press conference at the Collectorate here on Thursday, the Collector said that MSMEs play a vital role in the growth of the country’s gross domestic product as they absorb local talent, promote self-employment and industrial development.
To bring together seasoned industrialists and budding entrepreneurs on one platform and encourage them, the district administration will organize MSME Utsav-2026 on June 27 (Saturday), on the occasion of International MSME Day, at Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) in Enikepad, the Collector said.
He added that the event will also be an opportunity for young people to turn their ideas into reality and also showcase their products at exhibition stands at the fair. He urged the youth to make the most of the opportunities.
