
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana inspects an ongoing project in Nellore Municipal District on Friday.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana on Friday (March 20) inspected the ongoing development work near Santhapeta Market in Nellore town.
Speaking on the occasion, he pointed out that the government has kept its promise to release the work calendar for employment generation and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh are keen on eradicating poverty through improving livelihoods in the state.
“By the end of the month, the MSME cluster will be opened and new factories will be opened at the site of the existing sugar factory. The job calendar to create 10,060 jobs is a fulfillment of our election promise,” he said.
Regarding the development of his Nellore urban constituency, Mr. Narayana said that fifteen prime localities in the heart of the city like Pogathota area would be built on priority. Nellore will become a model city with drainage and cement roads laid in double the area promised before the general elections.
While inspecting Golla Street, the Minister visited the residences of Muslim families, interacted with them and conveyed Ramzan wishes.
Mayor Nellore Sujatha Ashok, Commissioner YO Nandan, Deputy Mayor P. Roop Kumar Yadav, Director of State Warehousing K. Srinivasulu, former Municipal Chairman Tallapaka Anuradha were present.
